From September 1989 to December 1990, Mr. McGlone worked as a tax consulting associate at Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers) in Indianapolis. He provided tax consulting services for businesses and individuals involving complex tax matters.
In December 1990, Mr. McGlone was appointed the Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Greene County, Indiana. He lived in Bloomfield and served as the Chief Deputy Prosecutor for Greene County for 5 years. He was responsible for handling felonies, misdemeanors, infractions and juvenile cases. His jury trial experience during that time includes the following: murder, burglary, theft, welfare fraud, child molesting, rape, operating a vehicle as a habitual traffic offender, felony DUI, misdemeanor DUI, habitual substance offender, and drug crimes.
In January 1996, Mr. McGlone became a partner at McGlone Law Office in Terre Haute. He practiced law with that firm until August 2002, focusing primarily in the areas of personal injury and worker's compensation. Also, from 1996 to 2001, Mr. McGlone was a felony trial deputy prosecuting attorney for the Vigo County Prosecutor's Office. Among the felony jury trials handled by Mr. McGlone at the Vigo County Prosecutor's Office, are trials for the following crimes: fraud on a financial institution, theft, drug dealing, criminal recklessness, and resisting law enforcement. Additionally, during that time period, Mr. McGlone was appointed the special prosecutor for a murder case in Parke County, and special prosecutor for a Sullivan County case of criminal recklessness resulting in serious bodily injury.
